EASY ACCESS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD
Slovenia lies in the heart of Europe. It borders Italy to the west, Hungary to the east, Austria to the north and Croatia to the south. Slovenes like to boast that Slovenia is located on the “Sunny Side of the Alps”.
Because of Slovenia’s geographical position, access to Bled is very easy, quick and affordable. Everybody can easily reach Slovenia by air, rail or road.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is an international Slovenian airport, only 25 minute drive to Bled. Slovenia’s national carrier, Adria Airways, offers regularly scheduled flights to most major European cities. Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is also the standard destination of many international airlines.
Because of Slovenia’s central position in Europe, it is easily accessible by car. You can reach Slovenia via one of the border crossings with Italy, Austria, Hungary or Croatia. The basic cross-shaped motorway network in the country is almost complete, and along the roads you will find rest stops, inns with overnight accommodation, and motels.

Buses and trains to Slovenia run every day from numerous European cities. It is also possible to arrive by sleeping car. The rail and bus connections abroad are also excellent: you can come to Slovenia directly from Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia. Rail travel is convenient and inexpensive.
